King Solomon – The Richest Man in the World

This past week I have been listening to Dr. John. C. Maxwell’s lessons on King Solomon, the richest man in the world. History tells us that his estimated worth was in the trillions. When we think about wealth Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and Donald Trumph names come to mind. What makes a person rich? For those who are fighting cancer, it would be health. For those who are going through a divorce, it would be relationships. For those who are hungry, it would be a meal. For those who do not have transportation, it would be a taxi, car or bike. It all comes down to a matter of perspective. Whose perspective? Yours? Your best friend? Your parents? Your husband? The government? God’s? I heard someone say this week that they were rich in every area of their life except for the bank account. Wow!  King Solomon was a made of great diligence. Richness comes from perseverance, diligence and just not giving up. One thing that keeps me going each day is I wonder if today is the day that everything that I have been working on will become a reality. If I give up, I will lose the privilege of having the blessing of seeing it happen. What if today is the DAY? Live expectantly, LOVE generously, Laugh often.

We are like tomatoes….

We are either ripening or rotting on the vine. There is so much greatness in each one of us that we will not exhaust the potential with lies within us. Go Big or Go Home! Make it a great day.

And they will know us by our Fruit…

When, Why, Where and How do you invest in growing yourself each day? Most of us are pouring out all day long. What do you do to pour into your soul so you will be a light to the world? Fruit bearing is an interesting process. I remember when I was first married and my husband, Jeremy, went out to the yard to do some “pruning”. To me, it looked like it totally ruined all my beautiful plants and trees in the yard.  He clipped and clipped until all the dead branches were gone.  When Spring time came, such JOY that filled my heart as I saw the beautiful fruit and flowers appear on the branches. As we grow and develop each day, there are branches of our lives that need to be pruned so we can bear more fruit. Although it can be quite painful, it is necessary for KINGDOM building. What book are you reading right now? When do you read each day? Pouring in is just as important as pouring out.

What is the MAGIC?

I am often asked, “how have you been successful in business”? What is the MAGIC? I have heard it said, “if you just don’t quit, you will one wake up and realize you are living the life you have been dreaming about.” Each day do something towards your dream. Every negative thought/action is like a withdrawal from your dream account. Every positive action/thought is a deposit into your account. Do you have the right account to be earning “interest” on your dream? Think about success as daily compounding. Save a penny, next day save two pennies, third day, double it and then keep doubling. Those pennies are your thoughts and actions. It is the little things that make all the difference in the world. The little things you do AND the little things you don’t do. There is no secret or magic pill. Just hard, strategic work and not giving up when it hurts so bad you want to throw in the towel. That moment separates the “wanna bees” from the CHAMPIONS. If you are still reading this…you are on your way to a CHAMPIONSHIP!

Imagination

Have you visited your imagination lately? Remember when we were kids and we would allow our imaginations to run wild? What happened? Grew up, experienced, failure, disappointment, pain, loss, etc. How dare we allow those life circumstances to mess with the vision of our hearts! Our parents watched us for hours smiling as we ran outside, smiling and playing and dreaming. We are still God’s children. That hasn’t changed. I challenge you today to visit your imagination – Glimpse of what can be – and build upon that everyday. Lives are built on HOPE. When your hope is gone, so are you.
